Have you ever wondered about the ultimate fate of every soul that has ever lived? Get ready to uncover the profound significance of the Great White Throne Judgment as described in Revelation 20:11-12. We dissect this monumental event, explaining how it will include all the dead from the beginning of human existence, with the exception of those redeemed during the rapture. This judgment signals a transformative shift in God's interaction with humanity and marks the end of the final dispensation without a cataclysmic event. Through a thorough examination of scripture, we emphasize the importance of context and encourage our listeners to explore surrounding verses to fully grasp the magnitude of these passages.

We also delve into the eternal consequences for souls not found in the Book of Life, as highlighted in Revelation 20:15. Discover the process of resurrection and judgment, and the ultimate fate of current heavens and earth, which will be replaced by a new creation as promised in Revelation 21 and confirmed by 2 Peter 3. Additionally, we provide a sneak peek into our upcoming episodes, sparked by a thought-provoking question from a listener that will lead to a comprehensive study covered in future discussions. Speaker 1:

Hello everybody and welcome to today's episode of Walk With Me. I am your host, jj. So good to have each and every one of you here with me today, and I know it's a little bit late on this. We have a couple of issues, but I'm going to tell you something. God is good, and I know it's a good phrase to return that with God is good all the time and all the time. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. I'm going to tell you something. God is really, really good. He's healing my wife. I am just so thankful for that. I just am just so thankful for what God is doing, so thankful for each and every one of you who are listening to this podcast. You could be listening to any other podcast on any other platform, but you have decided to take a few moments to listen to this platform and this Bible study and this podcast for this humble servant. I really do appreciate it. I love each and every one of you. That's why I do this, because God told me to and because I love each and every one of you. And because I love each and every one of you, thanks. A quick thanks to my sponsors Two Bars of Lyricists that helped me get the setup for the audio and get me the bump music, the intro and outro music, and thank God for Exquisite Creations. And I just want to thank God for her again, the reason why you guys haven't seen her update her website or anything like that, or why I haven't been able to do. You know, talk about her being my sponsor. She is still my sponsor, but she's had a little issue, but God is healing her. God is taking us through. God is taking her through. You know, you never know what kind of issues that you never know. When God takes you through a trial, he could be taking someone else through a trial For a particular, different reason and you guys can walk that together. That's why Jesus said If a man asks you to go A mile with him, go twice that mile because you are getting something out of it. He's getting something out of it. He's getting something out of it too. All right. So god is so good and I just thank god for each and every one of you. Thank god for everyone here now.

Speaker 1:

Last time we were talking about that thousand years of beautiful time and wonderfulness after the tribulation, after the battle of Armageddon. But there's one more thing that has to take place. After all of that, after everything that we've talked about, after the death and everything the resurrection. We have one more thing to talk about and that's going to be what comes after that thousand years of peace, after that thousand year reign of Jesus Christ, and it's going to be the great white throne judgment.

Speaker 1:

Now, one of the things that sets this dispensation apart from any other dispensation is because each time the judgment is kind of marked by a, either a shift in the way god deals with people or, uh, a uh, some sort of catastrophic event like, say, the rapture, or or beyond that, maybe not catastrophic, but a very wide reaching event like the flood. The flood was a big thing, was a catastrophe, it reached a lot of people. You know, uh, jesus being, you know, being born, was the start of another millennia. Another dispensation it just brought about a completely new way of god was dealing with people and it ended 400 years of silence. So this is the only dispensation that ends without some sort of great cataclysmic thing. It just sort of quietly ends, the clock runs out and then there's this great white throne judgment, and this is very particular because there's nothing that comes after that. But we'll talk about it. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but this is the great white throne of judgment. Now, in this great white throne judgment, it's going to be a judgment from. It's going to judge the dead from the beginning of human existence, all the way back to Cain and Abel, and only people who will not be judged in this will be the people who have already been redeemed. So the people who have already gone up in the rapture and come back with Jesus, they have already had their judgment, so they will not be judged, and this is both living and dead who arose to meet the Lord at the rapture. So if you've gone up in the rapture, you've already had that quote unquote judgment.

Speaker 1:

And what we're going to talk about here is Revelation 4, 20, 11 through 12. Now you know I have to give them a disclaimer. So I know you've heard it a thousand times. You're going to hear it a thousand and one times. We have a rule on this podcast For anybody who's just joining us if we have a scripture, we can get one or two verses just for the sake of time, but the homework assignment is always to read a verse or two above, a verse or two below, because context is key and it doesn't make sense and one of the things that inspired this podcast because there's so many false doctrines out there and God just said listen, you gotta put the truth out, okay. So here's the truth, and even if there are a few of you that find it, it's just what god wants us all right. So remember verse two above the verse two below, preferably the whole chapter chapter, because context is e. So. So, revelation 20, 11 and 12.

Speaker 1:

And I saw a great white throne and him that sat on it. Now there's another subtle reference to one God here. I know we're going to be talking about that quite a bit. It doesn't say them, it says him. It doesn't say several thrones, it says a, a great white throne From whose face the earth and the heavens fled away and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God and the books were opened. And another book was opened, which was the book of life, and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the book, according to their works. According to the things that were written in the book, according to their work, according to the things that they did.

Speaker 1:

So now we have three or four elements here. We have several elements. We have the throne, which is a one single large white throne, and you got the judge, which is one person or one entity sitting upon the throne. That place, that entity, is going to be jesus, and I know the bible says stand before god, because jesus is god right now. The judge, now here's where it gets, here's where it gets. Um, it's real. Let's just say it gets real, because the death of all walks of life will be judged.

Speaker 1:

If you didn't go up in that rafter, it doesn't matter if you're the president or he's a homeless bum on the street of Maine and Broad Street, you will be judged by the same standard. It is everything that we hope that our justice system could ever be, but it is a judgment, and the only thing that's going to matter is did you line up to this word of God, revelation 20 and 13,? And the sea gave up the dead which were in it. And now here's what feels really going to kind of get real Death and hell also delivered up the dead which were in them. So remember now, this was just how we had the rapture the people who were dead came up in the rapture. You don't get to escape this judgment just because you died before this happened. Death and hell will also give you up and will actually resurrect you, and they will judge every man according to their work. So what are they going to be judged by which? Now they're going to talk about the evidence, and this is going to be an evidence that has no bias, it has no malice. It's not an unjust law, it's just how it is. Revelation 20 and 12.

Speaker 1:

Let's go back to that. The books were opened and another book, which is the book of life, and I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened and another book was opened. So we're talking about the books, meaning the. And the books were opened and another book was opened. So we're talking about the books in the Bible. The books were opened and another book was opened, that other book, which is the book of life, in other words, whose name was written from being born again, and the dead were judged out of those things were written in the book, and the dead were judged out of those things that were written in the book, according to their works. So let me just stop right there.

Speaker 1:

Now, for all these people who will try to tell you that, well, you know faith without. We don't get judged by our works, we get judged by our faith. No, no, no. The Bible does not say it was going to be judged according to their faith. The Bible says you're going to be judged according by your works. Now, what are you trying to say, jj? Faith doesn't matter. Faith does matter Because if you have faith, you will do certain works. It's kind of like if you're sick, you cough. Now can you fake a cough and not be sick? Absolutely, you can fake a cough, just like someone can fake an old man's. But without that kind of driving force, with the faith, you will not be able to escape the word of God and you won't be able to do these works completely. And I know there are a lot of fakes out there, I know. But remember, they are all going to get the same judgment as people who didn't even try. So take that how you want to. This is what the Bible says According to their work. So that means somewhere, somewhere there is a supporting mechanism.

Speaker 1:

Now we like to, you know, in our age I'm going to give my age away we started out with PCRs and we had camcorders, and then we had cell phones. Now we have cameras almost in every part of our existence. We have cameras. It doesn't matter. You can't even pick your nose nowadays without there being a camera, having a chance of a camera looking at you. You got cameras on drones, you got cameras in the sky. You got cameras everywhere. But now, keep in mind, there is a camera somewhere, a divine camera, a divine recording system recording every single thing you and I do.

Speaker 1:

Now that, when you think about that, is a very sobering thought, because that is what you're going to be judged by. What have you done? What have you said? What was the true meaning behind the things you did and the things you said? Because these things will also be able to record your thoughts. Oh man, you know what? Man? I guess I better go ahead and just give that man, give that person on the corner, a dollar. I got to do my good deed for the day, which means you're really doing it, to show that you were doing it. You were not doing it for the glory of God.

Speaker 1:

So this is where everything, the realness, hits the road. If you looked at someone too long and you had a lustful thought, you didn't ask for forgiveness before everything is recorded. That's going to be the evidence. That's going to be what is weighed against the word of god. Have you lived according to the word of God? Have you lived according to the word of God? And even if you can't follow that, what's your name written on your blood?

Speaker 1:

Now, that is the key and the reason why that's the key, because if you were following very closely when we talked about after the rapture and you're all through the tribulation up to the battle of Armageddon and the thousand year reign, did you notice any plan of salvation, any new form, any new way of connecting with the Lord, way of connecting with the Lord? It doesn't mention anything. Because I'm going to go out and say because God is very clear on how to connect with him in the Old Testament and the New Testament, but he does not show a connection in the thousand year reign. So I'm just saying listen, if you could listen, if you could find, if you could find any verses in that scripture, you point them out. But it doesn't show that there's a plan of salvation during that millennial reign. So, even though there will be peace, it's not written in the book of life.

Speaker 1:

So what is the? How does that trial going to be run? The witnesses the witnesses are going to be the church, the church that Jesus reigned with for that thousand years. Hey, I saw him. He stole that thing. He stole that tomato. Yeah, I think he mentioned about going back and paying for it, but he never did so. Technically, he's still stealing.

Speaker 1:

That's how serious that judgment is going to be. Oh, you stole something that violates this law here. Thou shalt not steal. You are hell bound, and there will be many people down and there will be many people. Jesus said. There will be many people who will cry out on that day Lord, lord, haven't I done this? Haven't I done this? Haven't I been this person? And haven't I been this good? I only did this little thing that my kind of my body wasn't that serious. He's going to stay in the apartment and you know one of the things I was just talking about, I think there's a difference between iniquity and sin. We're going to have to see if that bears out. If that's true, then that means there's a whole new meaning of what God is trying to tell us on that day. So if you violate any law, any of those laws.

Speaker 1:

And it's not just the Ten Commandments we're talking about all. Remember the books. It didn't say the chapters, it said the Ten Commandments we're talking about all. Remember the books. It didn't say the chapters, it said the books are open. Your life is going to be judged According to those books, all 66 of them. And then, and then Are you in the book of life, revelation, revelation 20 and 15. 15 gives us a judgment and it doesn't say anything else. It says and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. And that's the thing. It doesn't tell us that anyone who was not already a saint of God or already ruling with him. It doesn't say anything about them being accepted into salvation. It just basically says you're resurrected, you're brought out of hell and then you're tossed into the next life. Resurrected, you're brought out of hell and then you're tossed into the lake of fire. If you died in a boating accident and drowned, your soul went to hell, then you were brought out of hell into that water, out of the water into judgment and then cast into the lake of fire. And that fire does not end.

Speaker 1:

I tell a lot of people about the Beamer. It's not pretty. It's literally a lake where it's not just the top that's burned, the entire thing is continuously burned. So that's not a place I want to be. But, however, what happens to the saints and what happens to everything else Now, after the great white throne judgment?

Speaker 1:

It's not really described in a lot of detail, but the Bible does give us some insight. Now here's where everything happens. The earth and the space around it's going to be burning. It's going to be burnt up everything, everything that man has made, every building, every bridge, every sewer line, everything is going to be burnt up and destroyed. Second peter, 3 and 10. And. But the day of the lord will come, at the end of the night in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall rebel in fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein be burned up. So if everything's going to be burned up, then what are we looking for? Because Jesus said we're going to have a new heaven and a new earth.

Speaker 1:

Let's go back to Revelation Now. After the great white throne judgment, we're going to have a new heaven and a new earth. Where is this promise? We're going to look at Revelation 21. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. This is going to be 21 and 1. Well, the first heaven and the first earth were passed away and there was no more sea, there was no more need for water, but there was. This is going to be a completely new paradise no need for water, there's no sea, and that's going to coincide or actually confirm 2 Peter 3 and 13. We just read 2 Peter 3 and 10. It's going to coincide and confirm 2 Peter 3 and 10. Nevertheless, we, according to this promise, look for a new heavens and a new earth.

Speaker 1:

Wherein dwelleth righteousness? Now keep in mind, where in dwelleth righteousness? Now, keep in mind, peter and John had not had any communication Because, remember, john was on the island of Patmos when he got the revelation and Peter was Peter. If he was not in prison, he was very close to going to prison and being killed himself. So you tell me how the Bible. And now keep in mind too, this is not. This is not.

Speaker 1:

We're not looking at a time where we have so much communication and information being spread the way we are now. If I wrote a letter to any one of you, it would at least take a month to get through At least, so we don't have like this instant communication back then. But they were able to say the exact same thing and confirm each other. Because you know why? Because God is with us. That's what I told you. Because you know why? Because God is going to control it.

Speaker 1:

So Peter compares this transformation with the flood that happened back in the day. Let's just get back here, and here's the thing. I kind of lost my thought, because I wanted to say this this is something that he promised, and God is always good by his promises. So where was it now? Let's get back to 2, peter, because he's talking about this. He's talking about the transformation with the blood of Noah's day, whereby the world that then was being overfilled with water perished, and he's comparing it to how the world's going to be like. But John was not done, god was not done. Even after everything that was destroyed, everything that was done, there is a new promise that always be built.

Speaker 1:

John saw a city coming down from God and it was indescribably beautiful. Like John was having a hard time even describing it. Revelation 21 and 2. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God, out of heaven, prepared as a bride and born for her husband. If anybody of you who are out there who are married, I'm going to tell you something there is. That is the prettiest woman you will ever see in your life. When that woman comes down that aisle and smiles at you, that is the prettiest woman you'll ever see. It doesn't matter what happens, it doesn't matter, even if it don't work out, that will always be the prettiest woman you'll ever see. So this is why John described it like this this is going to be the most beautiful city you will ever see with your eyes. There's going to be a lot of mansions there, john 14, 2 and 3. Most beautiful city you will ever see with your eyes. There's going to be a lot of mansions there, john 14, 2 and 3. In my father's house there are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, and where I am, you may be also Now.

Speaker 1:

Revelation 21 uses a lot of wonderful imagery to describe just how crazily beautiful this place is, and it also gives us some rather distinct measurements. It describes the city being 1,500 miles in length, width and height. Now, I don't know how this works because I've never seen a city 1,500 miles tall, but this is how it's going to be Revelation 21-6. The city lies four square and the length is as large as the breadth, which is the length as large as the width. And he measures the city with the reed 12,000 furlongs, and the length and the height and the breadth of it are even. So, this is like a big cube. This city is going to be shaped like a cube and it's made of pure gold, like pure glass.

Speaker 1:

Revolution 2118, and the building of the wall of it was of jasper and the city was pure gold, like a clear glass. It's not even. It doesn't even compare to the gold you and I have seen. This gold that we have has impurities in it. As a matter of fact, have you ever noticed the higher the quality gold, the lighter it is? And I've only seen, like I've gone through 10 karat gold and it's got kind of a tannish, brownish tinge to it. And then you got 18 karat, a little more yellow, and then 24 karat, a little more yellow than that. And then there's this other brand I've only seen like once or twice in my entire life where it's. So the yellow is almost gone and it looks almost almost like a, like almost a polished platinum, but it's gold. But it looks. It's really weird. I can't even describe it. I know that John was having a hard time describing it and it was like clear glass. That's pure glass.

Speaker 1:

Revelation 21, 21. And the 12 gates were 12 pearls. Every several gate was a one pearl. And the city, the peace of the city, was pure gold, as if it were transparent glass. Everything's transparent. You know why. There won't be any need to hide, because everyone there is pure. They don't need to hide 21, 23,. And the city had no need of the sun nor the moon to shine, but the glory of God did lighten it and the light is the light thereof.

Speaker 1:

And that, my friends, I know we went a little bit long there, but I want to make sure we got to the end. The end it wasn't. Now we're all going. Now we're all there shouting, dancing, singing. God is glory forever, eternity, like God said, this eternity, the way God did. This is exactly what God intended. Back in the heart of Jesus. We broke that up. Remember now that we've been blessed and we're purified. Now sit back and reach it, this holy place that God has set, and we are now going to talk about his wisdom.

Speaker 1:

Now, this is not the last episode of this podcast. We've got lots of questions. I've been kind of storing them. We have to move and everything. But we're going to be doing this is kind of a walk through the bible at like a 35 000 out of 35 000 foot sort of vantage point. We're going to be going through a lot of concepts, more that, remember, this is about also being able to survive everyday life. So just keep in mind we will be doing things like that. So this is not at all.

Speaker 1:

And please, if you've got questions, I don't care what it is, as long as it's biblical, please know politics, as long as it's biblical. You can send the question to me walkwithmebiblestudy at gmailcom, walkwithmebiblestudy all one word at gmailcom, walkwithmebiblestudy, or one word at gmailcom. And if you want your name to be used in the conversation, I will say hey, kathy from Kathy sends this question. If not, just don't leave the subject line blank. And I understand, because everybody wants to be. You know, some people just want to be anonymous and that's fine, you know. But that's fine and I's fine, you know. But that's fine, and I don't want you to ever think that your questions are stupid, because so many people have the same questions as you. You are the first one, the bravest one, to ask.

Speaker 1:

Alright, thank you so much for joining us. I will see you next week and I already have a new. I'm actually working on a new kind of a study based on a question someone sent me. The question was so intricate that not even one episode is going to be able to cover it All right. So we will be working on stuff like that and we will also cover other subjects. So we just get started, folks. Thank you all so much. Thank you all so much for joining us. We ask that you just like it, share it, subscribe to it. Uh, however your, uh, whatever your chosen platform is like, if you have youtube, yeah, go ahead and like, share it, subscribe to the channel. Thank you all very much. Love you all.
