Speaker 1:

Praise the Lord everybody. Praise the Lord everybody, hallelujah, hallelujah. It's so good to be in the house of the Lord this morning.

Speaker 2:

Hallelujah, glory to God we can't be anywhere else, but we are in the house of the Lord this morning.

Speaker 1:

Amen, glory to God, glory to God, amen, oh, glory to God, glory to God, amen oh, glory to God. Woo Woo, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Glory to God, glory to God.

Speaker 2:

I just want to get out of the way and let God do His thing this morning. Amen, giving glory and honor to God First in my life Bishop Adderley and his lovely brother, ministers on the pulpit, everyone in their respective places, and my beautiful wife who gave that prayer this morning.

Speaker 3:

Isn't that a?

Speaker 2:

divinely inspired prayer. Amen, amen, amen, praying through the storm. Amen, amen, amen, praying through the storm.

Speaker 1:

Amen, amen, ooh.

Speaker 2:

Here, we are here. We are here to worship God, right? Amen, hallelujah. Let me give you what God has got for me and I'll get out the way we had our shouting moment Amen, amen, alright, we're going to start with Jude. I like to troll. People say Jude, chapter one. It's going to be Jude one, and then we're going to switch over to Exodus, chapter 12. And while we're getting that, I have to admit I struggled with this message at first.

Speaker 2:

I started getting this message about the first Sunday of September and I felt like it was going to be a little heavy for me to carry, but God is good right.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Everything after that came as confirmation that this has to be said today.

Speaker 3:

So we're going to go with Jude chapter 1.

Speaker 2:

It goes like this Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, the brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father Remember it's to them who are sanctified by God the Father and preserved in Jesus Christ and called. Mercy you, and peace and love be multiplied. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. And I want you to clip this next verse on your ears unto the saints, and I want you to clip this next verse on your ears, for there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old, ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness and denying the only Lord God and our Lord, jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how the Lord, having saved the people out of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believe not. And if I just have a moment of your time and a little bit of God's grace, I'd like to talk from the point of saved and then lost. You may be seated in the presence of the Lord Saved and then lost.

Speaker 2:

Now one thing, one, two, amen. Oh, you can't really hear me. Okay, amen, oh yeah, much better, much better, amen. One thing that you got to understand about Brother Joe here is that soft language doesn't really get through to me. In the corporate world they like to say things like least, best, performance. That doesn't make any sense to me. Least and best doesn't even go in the same sentence. But they do this because people have gotten to the point where you can't really talk plainly to them anymore and you have to sugarcoat things. And even though you're hitting them with a brick, you've got to wrap it in a piece of velvet to make them feel good. And that sort of thinking has sort of crept into the church. Just tell me, brother.

Speaker 3:

Joe, that sucks.

Speaker 2:

Brother Joe, your job performance is garbage. Tell me that so. I can fix it, but nowadays we call this emotional abuse. People can't take when you say things the hard way. They can't take the direct approach.

Speaker 2:

So you spend a paragraph and a half just telling the people no, and this is where we are. One thing I like about this verse that God gave it to me, the scripture was that Jew was very direct and he's one of the few people who was talking about mercy. A lot of people talk about mercy and grace and sometimes we get it conflated.

Speaker 2:

This is not about that, but Jude was talking about mercy and he wanted to remind us of the biggest correlation to the problem that we have in the church, and that's Israel and Egypt. Israel is typecast as today's church and Egypt is typecast as the world and of sin.

Speaker 3:

Yes, sir, so this is very important. Yes.

Speaker 2:

So when God came down and finally got, we finally got tired of you know, children of Israel begging for freedom, and he said I'm going to come down and deliver you. What he was really doing was saving the church from the world, and through these things he had plagues. He gave us plagues, and we often forget that God didn't just pull these plagues out of nowhere. It wasn't like some magical bag of plagues. God was targeting the belief systems of the Egyptians. That's right. God was going after their idol, gods, and that's what really confirmed it. I said oh my God, god really wanted me to say this, and if you don't think it's true, all you have to do is look at it. When he turned the water of Nile into blood, he was going after the.

Speaker 3:

Egyptian god Hapi.

Speaker 2:

Yes, sir, when the frogs emerged from the Nile, he was going after the goddess Hege. Yes, sir. When the gnats came, he was actually going after the man-made scientists of that day. Yes, sir. Because they couldn't get rid of them. Yes sir, the swarms of flies he was going after the god Kepri. Yes sir, the flies he was going after the god Kepri. The pestilence of the Egyptian livestock. He was going after Apis. Now I can go on and on, but these five, these first five places. Everybody felt it, Everybody saw it.

Speaker 3:

The.

Speaker 2:

Egyptians saw it, the people who weren't Egyptians, that were in Egypt saw it, who were also in bondage. The Israelites saw it. Everybody felt it. But then God decided to go further, because God was making a point. He was making a point to the children of Israel. He went on. He had boils. That was the God of segment Hail. He would hail when they destroyed the plants, and all of that. He was going after the God of segment Hail. He would hail when they destroyed the plants, and all of that. He was going after the god Hephnot. When Locus devoured the vegetation, he went after Osiris. When the darkness covered the land, he went after the sun, god Roth, and when the final one, he went after the big one, anubis. So this is where we see what God went after. He systematically destroyed everything that the Egyptians loved, everything that sin loved. Just like when God delivered you, he went after everything you loved.

Speaker 3:

Amen, he broke your bondage on drugs.

Speaker 2:

He broke your bondage on alcohol.

Speaker 3:

He broke your bondage on fornication, everything that the world told you to love.

Speaker 2:

Everything that went sour in your mouth, that you had no idea went sour in your mouth.

Speaker 3:

God went after. Why?

Speaker 2:

Because he had to break the bond so that you could come in, you could leave Egypt. That's right. But these last five, these last five, the Israelites didn't feel them. They saw them. They did not feel them, the Israelites as long as you put that blood over the door. Your firstborns lived, but that didn't mean, because they didn't really have storm glass windows back, then that means they still heard the wails of the Egyptians as they woke up to find their firstborns dead.

Speaker 2:

Yes, sir, I was in my job, I did a lot of that. When people call on the phone and they have found a loved one and said there's a going on, and that wail is like a wail you would never hear at the beginning of your life and imagine that exponentially compounded by an entire country. But yeah, even after all that, after you come out of the world and you sit in these pews, we think, oh, I have arrived.

Speaker 2:

I have saved now y'all forgive me because I don't generally use the term saved. I say I'm born again, I'm living with the God. I don't generally use that term saved I'm not going to knock you for using it, but that word saves past tense, which means the gates are closed behind me. This is how I see it. I'm not going toaki, not my place. However, they have gone out. Now we know the rest of the story.

Speaker 2:

The Egyptians was behind them, the lake, the sea was in front of them, and God opened that great wall of water and drown all the Egyptians behind it, because the world is going to come back for you. You sit on that pew. You think the world is not going to leave you alone. The world is going to come back for you. This is not where we're going, though, but as soon as they get out there, these same Israelites, these same church folks, they sat down there and they sang a song that God delivered me and that was it.

Speaker 2:

They didn't do no work, they just enjoyed being out of bondage Without even realizing what they were out of bondage of the castle away. Because he had to go talk to God, he had to go up there. He's gone a few more days and they wanted to. The first thing these people did is they went up to the sister pastor hey, aaron, we got worse and we just we went over this and I still wonder like Aaron didn't say like we're not the same.

Speaker 2:

But no, he took all the earrings and all that gold and made them a calf. And I wondered about this calf. Why make a calf? Why not an eagle or a lion or something ferocious? That's because the calf symbolizes a newtus being reborn In the church, in the church, in the church, the world is now being reborn in the church, which means everybody who went through this. All 10 plagues because Exodus chapter 12 and verse 37 says Reads as such.

Speaker 2:

And the children of Israel journeyed from Ramesses to Sukkot about 600,000 on foot. There were men and besides children and a mixed multitude which means, it wasn't just. Israel that left Egypt. It was other people. Some of them were even Egyptians. We see evidence of this because they were on our New Testament.

Speaker 3:

We call them.

Speaker 2:

Samaritans, because they were born of the main length of Egypt and Israel. And the first thing they did was they ran up on Herod and said make us a god. And they brought the same God that they saw God Almighty defeat. They brought those same God back into the church. All of the death, all of the destruction, all of the maintenance, all of the deliverance, all of the healing, healing power, everything was gone, because all they did was they ate and it rose up in pain. Sometimes we get house of God and we think we made it, and then we go out and then we start bringing incorporating worldly things back into the church. Preach it, preach it. And when we incorporate these things we lose control of them, because it's like a cancer, it's like the most aggressive virus you'll ever see in your life, far worse than COVID. We run around all scared to death of COVID and yet it was a .03 fatality rate.

Speaker 3:

But I'm telling you right now sin has a 100% fatality rate.

Speaker 2:

Things will be bringing up. Go up to a person, let them post a scripture about how God saved them and rescued them, and wait a couple days and ask them just out of the blue what are you? You'll either get a name of a sorority or a zodiac sign.

Speaker 2:

We don't really know, we don't really pay attention, but the zodiac sign is Greek mythology on the same level as Egyptian mythology, which means they are lower than the god that we're supposed to be serving. I'm not a well. Yeah, I'm a person, but I'm a leader too.

Speaker 2:

You put more faith in the horoscopes than you do in the preaching and you wonder why your life isn't really bearing any fruit. You wonder why you can't't really bearing any fruit. You wonder why you can't talk to anybody about God. You wonder why your family life isn't that great and your kids aren't really good for God the way they're supposed to. Because they see what you're doing at home and they see the nice clothes you put on when you come to church. But knowing that all you're doing is home and they see the nice clothes you put on when you come to church, but knowing that all you're doing is bringing that worldly attitude into the room, into the church, Thank you.

Speaker 2:

So now they're sitting there, I'm going and I get it all the time. You talk to people about going to church and they say, well, God is about to give me this anyway, and I have to agree, and then I have to spend two hours trying to tell them well, there's a difference between churchianity folks and Christian folks. Yeah, I made that word up. Churchianity, but it's the only way to really describe it. You know it turns out every Korean, nobody's saved.

Speaker 2:

Nobody lived for God, nobody preached it, nobody prayed it to the Holy Ghost. But oh, I'm a Scorpio, so this is why I act this way. 100%, 100%. I used to do that. Oh, you can't talk to me this kind of way. I'm going to squirt you out by two feet At some point. At some point we got to put that stuff down.

Speaker 1:

We got to put it down.

Speaker 2:

Lay aside the weight that you so easily possess, easily possess, and the world will the soul easily possess, easily possess, and the world will make it glorify it. Oh man, I'm an alpha, kappa, alpha, I'm a cute dog and they got nice hands that go with it too. And then they here's the really bad part They'll make you get burned on your skin. I've seen them do it. I've seen the sick ones do it. They take a hanger and they put it in the fire, so it gets white, hot and they tag it on their arm like a little cattle.

Speaker 2:

Now I don't want to ever be sick or fine. Yes sir, absolutely. And then we bring that into the church and then we don't want to let that go, because we went through so much and there were so many good memories, so many parties we went to and we had a good time and met so many pretty women. That's probably why some people don't come to church now, because the preacher that the preacher that you want to hear Ain't preaching today.

Speaker 3:

The singer that you want to hear Ain't singing today.

Speaker 2:

Ain't no pretty women in the church, ain't no handsome men in the church, and because of that you just don't go to church. And the people who't go to church and the people who do come to church have brought the world with them, so now they're trying to figure out.

Speaker 3:

Why should I?

Speaker 2:

waste my two hours. We got something to do, folks. We got a heaven to gain and a hell to soar. And Jude was very specific, he was very explicit. They were destroyed because they didn't believe all the stuff that they saw.

Speaker 1:

And they didn't believe it.

Speaker 2:

You ever see something happen and then, like maybe 24 hours later, somebody will come along and tell you that that ain't really what happened. This is what happened. I have to wonder. Maybe that's what happened to you, because there's no way I could have smelled the smell of piling up dead frogs Endlessly swatting away flies, watching people have boils. Watching the hail come down and destroy all the crops, they had no food left, and then having a day of darkness when the forecast was sunny at 82 degrees and then how?

Speaker 2:

all these people died and then all the wheels, and then somebody said, well, that ain't gonna be happening. Shut up. Who was it? Yeah, she went. What happened was some of the best stories started with. What happened was I know, because I tell them when I'm messing with my wife, I'm like maybe what happened was and they get out there and they had idle hands, they weren't doing any work they rose up and played Now I'm guilty of this, I get up, I get on my game, I'm playing something Messing with my wife. That's plan two. And they had no regard for why the pastor went up on his mountain. They didn't stop to think. Why did this dude who just went through all intents and purposes, was the spokesman, was?

Speaker 3:

the press secretary for this great deliverer went up on his mountain.

Speaker 2:

I ain't seen him in two days three days, four days, five days, fifteen days, twenty-five, five days, 15 days, 25 days, 30 days. You know what? Maybe he went up there and died. Oh, that's going for all the stuff he did to waste and go back to the world. Let's go back to that. I don't understand that. But God is sitting up there saying God is telling the laws and how to administer laws. So you got to be careful. Church family you got to be careful. Yes, god has said to me, you can watch them, assist the pastors. They just wait and let the world in. But then the people who followed Moses they just wait and let the world in. But then the people who followed Moses, who followed the pastor, had the attention span of a Trump mat Because, again, they saw it all. People that came out with them who were not Israelites saw it all and they experienced it. How, how do you experience this thing?

Speaker 1:

and then let somebody tell you that you're going to have the same thing.

Speaker 2:

Don't worry, this ain't the first time. This ain't the last time. It happened Just this morning, when they got the kid. Well, let's go back to Egypt. God, this is not. Well, you know, these people are big enough. So let's go back to Egypt, let's go back to sin. This trial is too big for me. I'm going to go back to where I'm, back to life. You know why? Because you were sitting in the pew. You were sitting in the church, but the church was not in you Amen.

Speaker 3:

The church was not in you.

Speaker 2:

No, the church is not in you. No, the church is not this building. Jesus said upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. So this church ain't the building. The church is in you now reveal against it. So this church ain't the building. The church is in you Now. Don't get that misconstrued. I'm not saying don't go to church. That's not what I said. That's not what I said. I said don't let the love lie, because he said it's all here. You say if not, then you're settling yourselves together as a matter of some of this. And you know, some people say well, I don't go to church, but I'm spiritual.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you're spiritual, you're spiritual.

Speaker 2:

All right, buddy, you're spiritual, let me get some oil Because you're spiritual. But it's important guys, it's important family. Keep that stuff, that worldly stuff. You have to ask God and I'll be honest with you. A few years back I said God, I want a tattoo. And I struggled with it for a while, because everything that's open book. I have struggled already. I had a struggle before I came to God and I said God, I want a tattoo and I want this tattoo to say poverty, god. And God says well, if you're going to cover it up, how is it glory to me? And with that, this is where, if you have to ask yourself is it okay for me to do something? Probably not. That is the spirit of God in you checking you, saying no, that's good, teaching no. And Paul even said you know all things are lawful, but not all things are expedient. So you could be, god could be telling you to do something.

Speaker 3:

That's above and beyond Verse 9, verse 36, chapter 36, he could be telling you something beyond that, but as long as it's not contradicting the word of God.

Speaker 2:

remember that you shall not mark yourselves as the world marked themselves. Oh yeah, that's a tattoo. Okay, as long as God is telling you something that does not contradict his word, maybe he's trying to bring you into a closer relationship with him.

Speaker 3:

Remember that's what it's about. I can't understand.

Speaker 2:

Christians or sorry, churchy enemy folks who try to adjust the bare minimum. I just want to see, if I go to church twice a week and if I do more good things and I do bad things, then I'll make it no, no, no. The Bible says the saints will barely make it. We're talking about like by the hair, by the attention.

Speaker 1:

Scares me like oh my God, am I going to make it? Those are saints, those are holy. Those are saints who barely make it.

Speaker 2:

The worst type of sin and the. What Does it intersect On what Ungodly? Keep the world out of your houses, keep the world out of your church. That's good teaching. Amen. Now I get it. I get it. I get it. Some of us will go away and say, brother Johnson, she's saying hard stuff again. Please understand this y'all. I've never struggled with a message more than I struggled with this one, because I don't want, I don't realize the idea of people that you love, people that you care about. Not making it. That's what this is about. This ain't about getting together and see who has a new suit on. That's right. This ain't about getting together and see who can sing or who run a church this week. Where's the pastor, old pastor, somewhere? That ain't what this is about. This ain't about singing in a choir that's right. This ain't about who can fast more or who can be more holy than the next guy.

Speaker 3:

That's right. We're moving in as a family or we're not.

Speaker 2:

Because we get to the point where Jesus said something about separating the wheat from the tares. No, we're it, go together. These people left Israel together. They were tares in the congregation and 3,000 died Because they rose up to play and they tried to have a revival of the newness in the congregation.

Speaker 3:

Don't get it twisted Hell is having a revival every single day.

Speaker 2:

Daily it enlarges its boundaries. That's in the Bible. But the Bible talks about the church being small and the church being a few and the way being straight and few being the way that find it. And the word few, few, few, few. But I don't know about you, but I want to be one. I need to be one. That's all I got.

Speaker 2:

I pray that we go through our lives and we examine our lives, examine ourselves and things that are of the world, that ain't of the book. Just get rid of it. Just get rid of it. Just get rid of it. You won't miss it. After a while the devil will tell you that you're going to miss this or you're going to miss that. Yeah, you're going to miss going out.

Speaker 2:

The devil told me I was going to miss riding with a motorcycle club. He told me that Just a couple of days ago, a rough rider. You told me that Just a couple days ago a rough rider got killed in TSM and he was my age and I thought, man, that could have been me or was something silly. But I gave it up and I'm not saying getting in a motorcycle club is a sin. Again, remember what I told you in the beginning you will have good memories of these things. However, it is time now to sanctify yourselves. Come out from the mongrel and be separate and put away the unclean thing and I will receive you. Keep the world out of the church, keep the world out of your house, keep the world out of your family. You want to see the kids sing. Get rid of that worldly stuff. Yes, sir, my wife and I were having a conversation about worldly music. And is some worldly music?

Speaker 3:

yeah, but when you know what? When they start?

Speaker 2:

those lyrics start going N and H and E. Now I know what I'm talking about. And degrading yourselves, degrading each other. Killing each other is not is not killing a sin, and what we listen to it for it's not. It's not extramarital sex of sin. Why are we listening to it for? God bless you. I love y'all. I believe in you. You got it. You got it. You got to get better. You see what I'm saying Better you got to get better. I love y'all.

Speaker 3:

Amen, no, no, no, I'll be called for Amen, amen, amen, all right, anybody.

Speaker 2:

Anybody in the building looking to be done, come down, come down. Anybody looking to be born again, anybody looking to repent or something, and by repent I'm not just saying crocodile tears, but actually turn away from it. That's repentance. Repentance doesn't happen here. Repentance happens when you leave. Here's what you ask God to forgive you of it amen, anybody. Anybody looking to get closer to God?

Speaker 3:

Anybody looking to get closer to God? God?

Speaker 2:

you're so worthy, god. God, I hope I delivered the way you wanted me to God. I hope I it the way you wanted me to God. I hope, I really hope. Pray, this is exactly what I wanted, god, I too. I too need to lay down some things that I enjoy, and the Bible doesn't say it. It's not in Leviticus or Deuteronomy or Exodus, but it just doesn't feel right when I do it, and I've God, I've sneaked in and I'd rather give this thing up, which is going to burn. The thing that I had, that I was holding on to, is going to burn, but I don't want to burn. I don't want to burn.

Speaker 3:

God, I need you. Somebody say God, I need you. God, I love you. God, I love you Above God, I love you above everything.

Speaker 2:

God, you're so worthy. God, watch me, Lord, God in your blood. God, we need you. God, we love you.

Speaker 3:

Oh God.

Speaker 2:

God, you're so worthy, God, you're so worthy. Help me, help me God. Just so really. God, just so really help me, help me, god. Since we all started reaching out, just pray, just pray, just pray, just pray, just pray. Open up your hearts today. Open up your hearts. You can open them up without even opening your mouth. Just pray and reach out to God. Oh God, you're so worthy, god, you're worthy, god, god, we need you, we need you. God, we need you, we need you, we need you, we need you God.

Speaker 1:

Glory to God, glory to God, glory to God, glory to God, hallelujah, glory, glory, glory, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. God, I hope you live for you and do your will. Oh God, you're so worthy, god, I need you. God, I need you.

Speaker 2:

God, I need you.

Speaker 1:

Glory to God, glory, glory, glory, glory, oh God. You're worthy God, you're worthy God, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, oh God, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, glory, Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus, hallelujah, Hallelujah, glory, hallelujah, god. Cleanse me, lord, god, cleanse me, god, Help me, turn me into a right to rest, turn me into a right to rest me, god, help me, turn me in the right direction, turn me in the right direction. Hallelujah, god, I just want to make it. I just want to make it, god, I know all the things you promised and all God. I just want to make it. Hallelujah, I just don't want to be lost. I don't want to be lost, oh God. I just don't want to be lost. I don't want to be lost, oh God, I just don't want to be lost. Hallelujah, jesus, jesus, jesus, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, oh God, thank you.

Speaker 2:

God, I need something from you, lord. Yes, father God, I need something from you Lord.

Speaker 1:

God, I need something. God, I need healing. God, I need deliverance. God, you're worthy God, I know you.

Speaker 2:

God, I know you stand God if I bring it to your feet, god you'll cast it away in the sea of forgiveness.

Speaker 3:

God, I love you, god, I love you. I love you, jesus, I love you, jesus, I love you, jesus. Glory to God.

Speaker 2:

Glory to God, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

Hallelujah Jesus, Hallelujah oh.

Speaker 2:

Jesus, jesus, hallelujah Jesus, hallelujah Jesus, hallelujah Jesus God. Touch us Lord. Touch us Lord, hallelujah God. We need you, we need you.

Speaker 3:

Hallelujah, hallelujah.

Speaker 2:

I know, I know that some of us would take today's message and would toss away with a grain of salt, I know, but it's for the one, the one Jesus said I'm leaving the 99 and go after that one, but it's for that one, that one that was tired of fighting these things, and they don't even know they're fighting, they're wrestling against things, they don't even know what they're wrestling about and they can't seem to break free. They can't seem to understand why they're fighting and why they're angry. Why, why, why. You're in our souls all the time.

Speaker 3:

Why, why, why why.
