Have you ever wondered where hell is located? Inspired by a coworker's curiosity, we journey through a vivid and cautionary dream that challenges our understanding of darkness, heaven, and hell. This episode is a raw exploration of the visions that offer a glimpse into the divine and serve as a reminder of being cautious with what we wish to see. The dream's overwhelming darkness acts as a metaphor for the struggles prophets face while describing the indescribable, and we invite you to join us in pondering its profound impact.

Throughout our discussion, we dive into biblical narratives, such as the story of the rich man and Lazarus, to question the dimensions of heaven and hell. Are heaven and hell just earthly concepts, or do they exist beyond our comprehension? As we unravel these spiritual mysteries, we also reflect on themes of eternity, righteousness, and salvation, emphasizing the distinction between mere churchgoers and the truly devout. This episode isn't just a conversation—it's an invitation to engage with these eternal concepts and become a part of our faith community. Share your thoughts and questions as we collectively ponder the vastness of eternity and the promise of salvation through love.

Speaker 1:

Now I just want to get into right into what we're supposed to be talking about. Remember, we were, we saw this episode and the last episode, you know, spawned off of a question that a coworker had when she was trying to find out where hell is. And, granted, it's not a simple answer and a lot of times we kind of look at heaven being up and hell being down without thinking that God works on a three-dimensional or four-dimensional plane, a different plane, right? So when I remember we were talking about that, I was talking about last sort of end of last week's episode on the two dreams that I had, and I described the first dream and the first dream was about heaven and it did feel up. But, um, then when I had the other dream we're going to talk about the other dream I had asked God. I wanted to see heaven and I wanted to see hell. And let me just say, if and let me just say if I didn't say this last week, you walkers, if I didn't say this last week, please, please, please, please, be careful what you ask for. That should be a Bible study series, just in itself. Be careful what you ask for.

Speaker 1:

And, on the lighter side, I asked God for some time off work and then my ankle got broken. I was off for six weeks so, but this time I asked God. I'd ask God to show me heaven and show me hell. And if you wanted to see what hell I mean, heaven sort of felt like I invite you to go back and listen to the last week, toward the end of it. But today we're going to talk about the, we're going to try to wrap up the question of where is hell, and we're going to talk about the dream that I had that was hell. So, that being said, let's get into it.

Speaker 1:

And even thinking about the dream now, it's sort of um, it was sort of crazy to me, right? So keep in mind now, folks, when I say and this is what I say we'd be careful what you ask for, because I wasn't very specific in my mind, I was not thinking hell, but I was thinking that other place, because at that time I was scared to say the word hell, because I didn't want to say it, right? So, um, this is the dream that I had, and the dream, um, was a little weird, right? So I remember it being dark and I I, you know you kind of wake up. And I remember waking up, sitting up On something Like the ground, and let me just stop here and say I start to really Appreciate the prophets Inabilities In the bible, the difficult things that the prophets had to do when describing the things that God had shown them.

Speaker 1:

And because you can only things that the prophets had to do when describing the things that God had shown them, and because you can only describe things based on the vocabulary that you have, you can only describe things based on the definitions that you have. So if I say I woke up sitting on the ground, in your mind you have a picture of me sitting on the ground. But if I'm unable to describe ground or you're unable to understand what ground is, then things have come off a little wonky, All right. So, that being said, I'm going to describe it as best I can. So I woke up sitting on the ground, like I was on the bed, like laying on the bed. But now you wake up sitting on the ground and the first thing I noticed is that it was completely dark.

Speaker 1:

Now, when I say dark, I'm not talking about like dark outside. I'm not talking about just the absence of light. I'm talking about a kind of dark where it was almost impossible to breathe, like the kind of dark you would experience if you put your face in a pillow and like really buried your face in the pillow. If you've ever had one of those cries, like a lot of us have, we kind of screamed into a pillow, you kind of just walled into a pillow, like that, but worse. Ok, so it was that kind of dark and it wasn't like there was no stars, there was literally. I can't even tell you. It was so dark. I can't even tell you what I was wearing. That's how dark it was. Even tell you what I was wearing, that's how dark it was. There was no way to tell that. It was absolutely completely dark, black. Even trying to figure out the words to sort of express it, it's difficult, but that's the best way I can think of it, like, say, if you wrap your face in a pillow or in a blanket, put in the pillow and then put a suitcase over it, that that's kind of how right. And I'm not saying you to do that, please don't do that, because that might not work out well.

Speaker 1:

So, anyway, I woke up and it was just kind of dark and I I stood up and I immediately figured out that I was barefoot because, um, whatever this ground was, it was kind of like uh, uh cutting into my not not cutting into my feet. It was causing a little bit of pain to my feet. You're walking in the room in the dark and then you step on, like, like, like you step on your keys or you step on a Lego or something to that effect, like that kind of feeling. But so, or you or you've ever lived in the country and you walk outside, and then you walk around, all of a sudden you find yourself on gravel, or you're on one of those beaches that have sand, but then they have some gravel and the gravel is hot, that kind of feeling. Okay, so this is where this is where we are, this is where I am.

Speaker 1:

So I immediately noticed that something's going on and I'm barefoot and this ground is not grass and it's not soft. So now I'm trying to figure out where I am, so I start walking. I don't know what made me choose this particular direction, but I just started walking in this particular direction. Whatever I was facing forward is where I started walking, all right. So, and it just seemed like I was walking for so long and, uh, now I was just walking for just for a long, long time and then, all of a sudden, it seemed like I saw what looked like a campfire out in the distance, but not the flames, but the orange glow from the campfire. So I'm walking and I'm walking. I'm walking towards it now because now I have a point to fix on. If anybody's ever been in the military, you know that as an infantryman, you get a point on the horizon and you fix on the horizon and you walk that way, and this way it helps you stay on point, on track, and it doesn't allow you to dog walk to the left or to the right right or dog track to the left or to the right right. So I'm in this mindset I see this orange glow and I'm walking toward it and I'm walking and I'm walking and it feels like forever and I'm walking, and I don't know if it's because of how dark it is outside or, or um, or the anticipation of trying to get to somewhere so I could at least see some light, like, see why I'm there, for so anyway. So I'm walking and I get to a point and then suddenly it's like your mind screams at you to duck.

Speaker 1:

You ever had that experience where you just sort of duck and then a rock came by or something like that. You say, oh, my god, what just happened? Well, you know, an angel moved your head out of the way. Well, this is exactly what happened. So I I got to this point and I stopped and I little lo and behold, my toes are literally hanging over the edge of this cliff. And that cliff, that cliff, was like looking over into I don't know, like the Grand Canyon. It wasn't like. It wasn't like looking into a hole, like you put your tree or something like that, or like you standing on the edge of the pool. No, this was like looking over into Grand Canyon or into something like standing over on the edge of the pool. No, this was like looking over into grand canyon or into something like standing over on the edge of a skyscraper and looking down. Okay, so down there I now see the source of the orange glow and it's lava.

Speaker 1:

Okay, now, now I'm like oh, lava, where am I? And my mind I'm trying to think well, maybe I'm in hawaii. And my mind is trying to think, well, maybe I'm in Hawaii. In my mind I still have not registered the fact that this is the dream that God has answered. So I'm thinking, well, I must be in, maybe Hawaii. My mind is trying to grasp what's going on. Like, if I'm by a volcano, I can't be at home, because at the time I lived in Kansas and there's no volcanoes in Kansas, and so now there's a problem.

Speaker 1:

And then I start to hear somebody screaming, and at first I didn't hear it, like you know, like you kind of hear it like yeah, but then all of a sudden, when you, when you, when your mind registers it, now you're focused on the scream, and now it's like super loud, but you can tell that it's coming from a distance and I mean like a real scream, right? So, and I'm looking down into the lava because, oh God, what if somebody's in this lava? Like, how are you still screaming, like in my mind, I would think you would just burn up right away and just be gone. And I see these little dots right, and these dots, and I'm thinking like, okay, these dots, there's just a whole bunch of dots and for some reason this lava was moving Like waves, like an ocean wave, like waves on a lake right, and sometimes the waves will come over and some of the dots will disappear and new dots will show up.

Speaker 1:

And it was at this moment. It was at this moment this awful realization hit me that the dots, the little, tiny dots, like sprinkles on a cake, these dots were the heads of people. Like sprinkles on a cake, these dots were the heads of people. And when the waves come over, some people were getting submerged by this lava, by this fire, and other people were surfacing, and this went over and over and over and then the screams really registered in my mind and then I woke up.

Speaker 1:

And I woke up and I was sweating and my wife at the time was like what's going on? And I told her I think I just dreamed about hell. And when I described it to her she said no, that can't be hell. And I started really kind of researching it, that point, this was back in 95, 94, 95 and um, and I realized that god was actually showing me something that hadn't happened, because that was the lake of fire and hell and death is cast into the lake of fire, and hell and death is cast into the lake of fire, and because god made something of us that is intended to live forever, which is our soul, this thing will continue forever.

Speaker 1:

And so we got to go back to matthew 25, 41, and it makes sense now, because the angels were not intended to die. The angels were not created to die, they were to be eternal, just like God is eternal and our souls are created to be eternal. Just like he created the angels, just like God is all eternal. God didn't create anything the angels, just like God is All eternal. God didn't create anything in the spiritual realm to be temporary. The physical sense, yes, as a matter of fact, when God first created man, god created man to be eternal. Our flesh was to be eternal, but apparently we screwed that up and so now the flesh was temporary as a result of our judgment.

Speaker 1:

Go back and read Genesis. He said in that day you shall die. And you know we didn't die right away. We lived another, you know, 300, 400, five hundred years, however long we were living. But the point is, time wasn't measured Between the creation and the fall of man. Time wasn't measured. It just said oh, one day this thing happened. So God truly intended for us to live forever. So our souls will live forever. Our flesh may die, but our souls will live forever. And so this is what brings Matthew 25, 14 into a very stark opening. It says and then he shall say unto them on the left hand Depart from me, ye cursed into everlasting, everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

Speaker 1:

So we go back to the original question where is hell? It can't be in the center of the earth, because in Revelations he's saying there's going to be a new heaven and a new earth. So is that old hell and that old lake of fire going to be transferred into the new earth? And no, it's not. It's not. So here's, here is the final answer. Okay, and we said a lot.

Speaker 1:

And if you want to start looking up at hell and the descriptions of hell, it says it enlarges itself daily. If it enlarges itself without measure daily, it can only If it was inside the earth, if it was down the way you and I consider down. If it was down, then eventually hell would overtake earth, because earth is a finite size. Earth has a measurement. Earth is only so big. The universe, on the other hand, it's infinitely bigger. We don't even know the edges of the universe. We just we just get some guy in a white coat and glasses to say where he thinks the edge of the universe is. But God is above that and we have to go back to reminding ourselves that from hell you can see heaven.

Speaker 1:

Remember the rich man and Lazarus? It's very important that we look at that the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man looked up from where he was, because it's a position of down, and he looked up and could see Abraham and Lazarus and they were close enough to talk. I want to ask you if you're downstairs in a house, can you talk to somebody that's upstairs, not without yelling and screaming. If you're on the first floor of a building and you look up and somebody you know is on the fifth floor, can you talk to them without using a device? No, so where this heaven is and where this hell is has to be close enough in proximity that you can talk to people in heaven you can't cross. You can see heaven, you can't cross. You can see heaven, which can't cross and you can't. And it also has to be in a position where the people that are in hell Cannot see earth Because they can't talk to earth. Otherwise, the rich man would have been speaking to His brothers like, oh my god, I'm in hell, please Get yourselves right, don't come here. You gotta be very careful when you read the word of God, because a lot of clues and things Are there and the idea is for you To actually read the word of God and figure out what's going on. Remember, you can see heaven. Idea is for you to actually read the word of God and figure out what's going on. Right, remember, you can see heaven, you can see hell.

Speaker 1:

Some people would want to cross from heaven into hell, I guess to help family members, because you love them. People want to cross from hell into heaven because, oh my God, it's hot and I'm tormented in this flame. That's what the rich man said. I'm tormented in this flame. That's what the rich man said, I am tormented in this flame. And then, when everything is said and done, that hell Is now cast into the lake of fire, which is a complete and utter, eternal separation, and that was what I saw in my dream Was not hell, was actually the lake of fire when there is. No, I didn't see heaven from hell. All I saw was complete, utter, mind numbing darkness.

Speaker 1:

So we have to be very careful and listen. I know it's easy when you're four or five to point down and say, oh, hell is down and heaven is up, but the Bible doesn't necessarily suggest that. As a matter of fact, the Bible sort of suggests almost a different dimension, because you and I can speak on things like dimensions, because you and I can speak on things like dimensions, whereas somebody, 2,000 years before Christ, has no idea what dimensions mean, has no idea, and you hear vague references to, like I was lifted up into the third heaven. So they know that they're not in the sky heaven, they're not in space heaven, they're in another, completely different realm. I know that sounds far out, that sounds far out, but this is why people don't want to answer the question of where is hell, because you have to answer the question where is heaven?

Speaker 1:

Remember this is what happened with the Tower of Babel, and God was actually trying to save people from the Tower of Babel from killing themselves Because they thought they knew that heaven existed. They knew it. They also knew that if they went out far enough, they could eventually find it. However, they were not equipped to go past the ionosphere, they were not equipped to go into inner space or outer space, so god had to stop them like bro, wait a minute. I I understand that you're unified in this thing, but this is, this is a bad idea, guys, that I deliberately put space around the earth so that earth could be suspended in the space. It's not like going up and downstairs, you can't just do this. And and even uh, when this thing happened with jacob, this the bible describes, for lack of a better term, a dimensional portal Right. So to the simple answer, the absolute simple answer, and I beg you to read the story about when the angels ascending on the ladder with Jacob.

Speaker 1:

I beg you to read Revelation, where it talks about death and hell being cast into the lake of fire. So this is a physical place. Hell is a physical place, place. Hell is a physical place. It is an absolute place that will be put into another absolute place. It is not here on earth. As we see it, it's not, it's not, and we come up with these things because we don't really understand them and we try to glaze over them. But it's not something that is simple to explain.

Speaker 1:

And here's the thing. It's one of those things you don't want to find out about, because once you find out about it, there's no going back, because the people in heaven don't want to go back. Who's in heaven that wants to come back to earth? Nobody, because heaven is a better place. Heaven is where suffering is no more. Heaven is where happiness and joy is and peace, and every good thing you could ever think of is in heaven, and everything bad and pain and torment and torture and flames and everything else is in hell. So the people again, the people who want to get out of hell cannot. People who are in heaven don't want to get out. So why would we concern ourselves if we're in hell?

Speaker 1:

Now, again, I don't knock questions. Most questions should lead you into a deeper study of the word of God. I don't knock questions. I love questions. Oh, by the way, and I didn't mention before, if you do have questions or comments, send them to walkwithmebiblestudy at gmailcom walkwithmebiblestudy at gmailcom and listen one of the things I do love about questions and even if you, I get people who are very antagonistic to when they ask questions, but I do love them too, so don't don't feel a way. It makes me sort of study my work out and there's a lot of things I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I can't, I cannot legit tell you where I was, like I cannot provide coordinates to where I was in my dream. There was no. I could not look up and see stars, so I couldn't, I couldn't map it out for you. There was no sun, so I can't tell you where that is. There was no guiding Anything that you and I would know of navigation. There's definitely no GPS. There's nothing I can tell you.

Speaker 1:

This is where hell is, but we do know that hell exists. But we do know that hell exists and we do know that heaven exists. So the bible suggests that, that it may even exist on a different dimensional plane that we go to when we are done here, and yes, it is an absolute certainty. There is one thing that is certain that you and I one day will leave this place and we could either go into everlasting joy or everlasting torment. And I just Just thinking about that dream again and how sad I was, um, when I woke up from the heaven dream and then the despair I felt waking up from the hell dream, um, I, I can't really describe it uh, in in this kind of setting I can't, I just can't. But I do love each and every one of you as a matter of fact. It's part of the reason. I guess that's part of the training God gave me to bring me to this point where we're doing a podcast.

Speaker 1:

It's listen y'all if I can't say anything else with certainty we have a heaven to gain and a hell to soar, and I know that people have made that cliche. People chant it all the time and not even know what they're talking about. I get it, I get it. I get it. But if anything we can do. If anything, if you knew right now, if you had a question, if you have the question, if you knew right now, if you had a question, if you have the question whether you are going to heaven or not, you need to do some soul searching. I need to do some soul searching. Do you think that once you did this thing, that you're automatically saved, or that you know you can do whatever you want, send a little bit every day or anything like that and still make it. I'm not talking to you because the Bible isn't talking to you, because at some point you've already dismissed this, this thing about being able to go to hell.

Speaker 1:

But Paul specifically said after I have preached to others, I myself might become a castaway, and this is exemplified in 1 Corinthians 9 and 27. Oh, before I read it, we have a rule on this podcast and I don't want to forget the rule. The rule is read a verse or two above, or a verse or this podcast, and I don't want to forget the rule. The rule is read a verse or two above, or a verse or two below, but preferably the whole chapter. I know we're running out of time, so I'm going to go ahead and finish this up real quick. So Paul said but I keep my under my body. In other words, I keep minding my flesh, I keep myself tight, I keep my walk with God tight and I bring it into subjection. I keep my flesh under control lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should become a castaway. Now I'm just going to say this and wrap it up If Paul, the greatest evangelist of the Christian church, could consider himself in danger of being lost.

Speaker 1:

Where does that put you and where does that put me? And the Bible also talks about with judgment beginning in the house of God. And if the righteous and I didn't say the churchgoers, the righteous are barely saved, where shall the sinner and ungodly appear? Yes, y'allall, heaven is real and eternity is long. All right, I love each and every one of you. Um, I didn't think it was going to be enough to go on to another, uh, another episode. But if you have any other questions, if you have comments, feel free to drop them in there. Love you all. Thank you all for sharing this podcast. Tell somebody that jesus loves them and there's a better way. All right, love you. God bless y'all.
