Walk With Me

How A Lion’s Den Points To Revelation

JJ
SPEAKER_00:

Hello, everybody, and welcome to today's episode of Walk With Me. I am your host, JJ. It's so good to have each and every one of you here. Love each and every one of you. So glad to see the new joiners and the new subscribers and everybody who is partaking on this walk with us with during this Bible study. I know it's a little bit late. Normally, you guys will usually see the post um generally Friday mornings, but this kind of late because we had a little bit of an family issue. And you know what? God is good and God delivered us. Okay. So y'all continue to keep us in prayer. Uh, but we are moving right along. Now, uh big shout out to our sponsors, two bars lyrices and exquisite creations, uh, who's the tumblers, two bars with the intro and the outro music. He should be sending uh sending me some more um intro music. I'm not sure uh when that's gonna happen because you know, um artists are artists, and he is an artist, and sometimes good things take a while. But that being said, uh I I do thank God for him and his walk with God and his family as they are going through this life, right? Um now, if you're this is your if you've just started listening to this uh podcast, this is your first or second or third uh podcast, understand that these series of episodes today uh that we're going through now uh are is in direct response to uh an end time question. And based on immediately, and I I have to admit, I totally kind of lost sight of what was happening. I I had heard that there was some sort of TikTok thing going around that the rapture was supposed to happen, and then it didn't happen, and then that's when I really kind of found out about it because people were upset about it and all the things they had done to quote unquote prepare for the rapture, and then the rapture didn't happen. And you know, the Bible does talk about this. So a couple of my listeners uh were it sending me emails, and one in particular said, Could you please explain the end time? So um, this is literally the fourth episode of it, and if you've listened to the last three episodes, you're you're kind of probably wondering why I am kind of going off in the weeds here. Like last week, we kind of got hung up on um the three Hebrew boys. I'd I suggest you go back and listen to that because I don't want to give it away. But please understand that I'm not generally just going off in the weeds because these two these things that we're talking about has significant um impacts on the end times. And we started in the book of Daniel because we have to do Daniel before we get to Revelation, and we always want to go to Revelation because everybody everybody wants to go to Revelation and say, hey, this is the mark of the beast, and this is the Antichrist, and this, this, that, and the third, but sometimes um, and there's a lot of situations where God will interweave prophecy throughout the rest of the Bible. Why is that? Because it teaches us that we have to take the entire Bible, not just Revelation, you know, and because our job as people who are living for God is to be saved, is to is to escape hell, right? You're not gonna escape hell just knowing revelation is backward and forward, because there's a reason why that you know the people in Revelation are lost, and that's the other 65 books. So, that being said, we're gonna get right back into it. Now, we were talking last week about Ananiah, Michelle, Nazariah. Now, you guys may not know who that is. If you don't, go listen to the last episode. So, but here's the thing: this whole scenario, and a lot of people, and this is where I start kind of bringing it to where we have to understand that Daniel, the book of Daniel, and the book of Revelation are sister books, not in where they were placed, but what their intention was and and their symbolisms were, and God was very intentional about the symbolization that he was using. For instance, we look at you know Nebuchadnezzar. If you have been around anyone who studied the Bible a lot, they will use a term called the type and shadow. Now, and a type in shadow means a type means a kind of a um an image, but not quite, but more of a prophetical interpretation of what it was, or a shadow is kind of a a precognition of what the concept is. What are you talking about, JJ? For instance, in the Old Testament, the children of Israel is the type and shadow of the church today. Daniel is the book of Daniel, is the type and shadow of Revelation. Um, some things that were said about Jesus was foretold and and forecast and foreshadowed in the old testament. So when you look at Nebuchadnezzar, he was that type of man, which is a which is a man of sin, which is which is still going to be revealed. We don't know who that is yet. And when it when it happens, it's gonna happen fast. And a lot of us, we have our ideas of what who that person may be. Like I have some ideas, it doesn't make sense to have put those ideas out there because what happens is somebody puts up on an idea like that and they run off with it and they create an entire uh end-time prophecy thing, and next thing you know, somebody's selling all the things and giving their kids away. No, no, I'm not exaggerating. This really happened. But Nebuchadnezzar, if you look at um Nebuchadnezzar in the book of Daniel and understand that he's the type of man, what's what would be called the man of sin that we see like the second revel uh second Thessalonians 2 and 3 and Revelation 13, it starts to make sense. Just for the sake of time, we're not gonna read those scriptures because we have are trying to pick up the pace a little bit without leaving anything out. It's very important that we don't leave anything out because you can't get from here to Chicago without pulling out of your driveway. I hope that makes sense. Now, the image, um, this this beast sort of situation that that you hear about in Revelation, like Revelation 13, 14, you you're going to see a type of Nebuchadnezzar in that, and we're gonna get over, we're gonna get into that. Also, um, what you will see in Daniel is the number six. This is what we call the number of man, and in Revelation, it refers to the number of the beast as 666. I read where a scholar has written that six is a bad number when multiplied by tens and hundreds, but it denotes evil in its greatest intensity and most disastrous manifestation. What does that mean? Because 666, when you multiply the six by six and ten, and then six by a hundred, it means six hundred and six, which is allegedly the damn the devil's number. And I say allegedly because the Bible says it, but we don't really know what that number means. We used to get these tracks of people walking around with three sixes on their forehead, but we don't know. We don't know what that number is. But what it is, it will be a number that is specific to men. Like I said, I have my theories right now. I'm just gonna deal with the the biblical interpretation, and when I do give my opinion, I will be sure to let you know it is my opinion. Okay, now these three three Hebrew boys that we were just talking about, they're a type of one, the nation of Israel that was brought through uh fires of persecution, b 144,000 that's gonna be sealed during the tribulation, the tribulation, see Revelation 7. And I I try not to get ahead of myself because every everybody thinks that they're gonna be a part of the 144,000. That is not true. Remember, the Hebrew young man was a type of the 144,000 seal, was a type of the 144,000 seal. All right, moving right along. See the testimony of deliverance that shall be given during the tribulation. There will be people that will be delivered during the tribulation. So, and we we we're gonna wrap, we're gonna come back to that, but we want to talk about some things because this is a very practical situation. Um, the next thing in Daniel we see when we go through Daniel is Daniel chapter six, and everybody knows that story. Daniel chapter six. Daniel and the lion's dead, and and Daniel with made the king mad, and then and then and then Daniel got thrown into the lion's den, and then the lion suddenly wasn't hungry anymore, and then the people who lied on Daniel was thrown into the lion's den, and he they got eaten up before they even hit the ground. You everybody knows that story. But what if I told you that there's something else hidden, not so much hidden, but there's a there's a type and shadow in that as well that actually leads you to revelation. Let's go over the story by now. King Darius, I mean, King uh Nebuchadnezzar is gone, his son gone. Now we have King Darius. Remember now, Daniel is still in captivity, he is still in captivity, he has not been delivered from captivity yet, and that's the sermon we're probably gonna speak on next Sunday. But Darius placed 120 princes over his kingdom, and Daniel was the first president of those princes. So this literally made Daniel second in command in the kingdom, a captive slave, second in command. Now, that is actually a testimony of God's grace, and I know some people look at it like, well, Daniel was still a slave, so what does that mean? He was still the most second most powerful man in the country, and he gotten that way by serving God truthfully and 100 and 100, putting his flesh aside, putting away his feelings, and serving God the way he was supposed to serve him. And now, this has been like 72 years under these heathen kings. Daniel had served God the way God told him to serve the kings, however, because of his complete dedication to God, and this is where it gets very important that we all don't miss because of Daniel's complete dedication to God, he was continually elevated and promoted. Now, we're looking at Daniel, he's probably about 90, I would say about 90, between 86 and 90 years old, if you if you do the math, right? There were some rivals who was really upset that Daniel was in charge of them over them because after all, Daniel was still a captive slave. So, how you got a captive slave over us? So, what they did was they tricked King Darius into signing a law, and I'm paraphrasing it now, is that no god could be worshipped except the king. Yet Daniel continued to do what he was supposed to do, and to the regret of the king, remember now, Darius did not want to throw Daniel into the lion's den. But because he made the law and didn't think that law through, and there's another sermon, we'll leave it alone. But because Darius made that law, didn't think that law through, Daniel was thrown into the king of into the lion's den. The following morning, Darius rose up and he was very scared. He did not want Daniel to be killed, and then when Daniel answered him, Darius was like super happy, and I'm really paraphrasing. But then Daniel or Darius can commanded Daniel's accusers, their wives and their children to be uh brought and cast to the dam. I bet you didn't know that, did you? Very all very often, and this is to you men out there that are listening to this podcast, very, very, very, very often, and I mean almost 100% of the time, when men messed up, not only did they mess up, but their wives paid for it, they paid for it, their wives paid for it, and their children paid for it. And this is both by by godly decree and pagan decree. This is always this was almost always the case. So when we go through life, young men, young man, old man, it doesn't matter. When we go through our lives, we have to make sure we live our lives as according to the word of God. We cannot allow ourselves and our wives and our children to be in trouble because of something that we did. So, back to this back to the Bible study, right? Remember now, Daniel's prayer life is very critical at this point in the lesson, at this point in um in this whole prophecy story, Daniel's life is very critical. It is a focal point, it is absolute, and it's something I have to work on. And I hope somebody else is out there saying the same thing. But we have to work, keep our prayer lives tight. Now, and the reason why this was the case, because this is what caused the accusers to know that they were going to get Daniel thrown into the lion's den. Because they knew Daniel was going to pray every single day, exactly the way he did yesterday. This Daniel did not have what we Christians do today. Daniel did not have a hidden religion, he didn't have a hidden faith, he didn't have a uh let me let me just go along to get along kind of faith. He was upfront and open and vocal about his walk with God. And he had an attitude, he had a place, he had an objective, he had a habit, he had regular times a day. That's why they knew where to get him. Now, that actually teaches us that there's a life of faithful dedication and and and life of prayer and life of faith, and all these things are taught to us, right? So now it's possible, it is possible, and I know people like to say, Oh, you know, that's Bible times, but it is possible today to have a testimony like Daniel, because this is why Daniel got elevated the way he did, and now that's not to say that no one else had these kind of prayer lives, but Daniel was the prophet, so Daniel had to keep it 100% all the time. So now I would say in Daniel 6 and 23, Daniel was delivered because he believed in his God, he believed in his God, which means he didn't just believe in his God, like we were talking a few episodes ago before this series. We were talking about believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you're gonna do what Jesus Christ says. If you believe on God, you're gonna do what God says. And literally, I just repeated myself there, and a lot of people won't catch that. I just repeated myself. But remember now, Darius had demanded that he had be worshiped, he demanded that was the law. And when you in those days, kings were worshipped like gods, they were they they made all kind of folklore about them. Oh, that that God was created, and and they were literally foreshadowing themselves as Jesus. And this is what the devil was trying to get us to do was try to look at kings as gods. He demanded worship, he demanded homage, he demanded prayer. Now, this is where we get the type of the antichrist. Notice before we talked about Nebuchadnezzar being the beast. Darius is the type and shadow of the Antichrist. He's gonna demand these things, he's gonna demand worship, he's gonna demand you pay homage, because he's gonna demand that you pray to him and things that he does. So anybody else running around talking about this is the antichrist and that's the antichrist, and that person is not doing this, it's not the antichrist. Or at least at least it ain't the antichrist yet, because the antichrist is going to be made the antichrist. So if that person is not demanding a thing, it's not the not the antichrist. So just put that in in the pipe and smoke it. All right, now Daniel being preserved in the lion's den is the type of the 144,000 say that we just mentioned. Now, I for that I would say read Revelation 7, 1 through 4, and then 14, 1 through 5. Again, because of the time, which I don't want to go read it right now, but I I I beg you to read this. And then if you have questions, you can email me questions based on what you read. Now, those enemies that that get destroyed are going to be like like the uh like the ones who falsely accused Daniel. Those are going to be like a type of shadow of the judgment of God falling down on coming down on the godless nations that are still gonna be here at the close of the tribulation at Armageddon during the during the tribulation, during the great tribulation. Um, people are going, there are a lot of people that are going to be lost simply because they rejected the word of God. You know, I have to think about it like this because Daniel, the way these guys knew that Daniel was going to pray, because they had already seen Daniel praying. I don't doubt that they actually spoke to Daniel about praying and and how to do the right thing, and they rejected it. And so now, because of their rejection, the same delivering power that Daniel got, those three accusers and their families did not got rejected from being saved too. All right, now let me check the time here. Okay, good. I have enough time to at least get into this, and I I again I I thank you for your patience and me laying all this groundwork out. And it's kind of like if you ever see anybody build a home from scratch and kind of dig out the foundation, and then they put the blocks in. We're gonna start putting some of the blocks in, okay. Now, we're gonna go back to Daniel chapter two, and now we're gonna start doing some reading, all right. Daniel chapter two is what we call the basics of prophecy, like um, like just like revelations could be called the the advanced level of prophecy. In this chapter two of Daniel, God revealed this outline of history from Daniel's day until the second coming of Jesus Christ to establishing his millennial kingdom. He does he literally laid it out to us, and we read over it and we kind of forget about it, we kind of miss it. Now, we should not, we should not continue with trying to understand prophecy until we completely understand Daniel chapter 2. Why is that? And I'll tell you why. There was a a um a prophetic dream that Nebuchadnezzar couldn't even remember, right? Nebuchadnezzar had this dream, and there was a an unexpressed desire that Nebuchadnezzar um wanted to show that his empire would last into the future, far into the future. So God gave him a dream that furnished this revelation of the rise, progress, and then fall of the Gentile world powers. Basically, God was telling Nebuchadnezzar that his his dream of a an eternal uh kingdom was just foolish. Um, now if you look at Luke chapter 21 and 24, you will hear that same period described in by Christ as the time of the Gentile. Now, when that king woke up, when King Nebuchadnezzar woke up, he was deeply troubled. He couldn't remember the dream, but he knew it was important. You ever had those dreams where you you knew something important was going on, but you couldn't remember the details, or you couldn't remember it all. Well, it was so disturbed, so disturbing to him, and he woke up in such a spiritual anguish that um he was determined to find out what that dream said and how it was going to be interpreted. So he called the the wise man, and he then here's what they did, which was really which I mean I would have fallen for this too if I was a fake wise man. So he called for the wise man, and they asked, they said, Hey man, uh if you if you tell me the dream, I can interpret it for you. Now that actually made Nebuchadnezzar mad because it it kind of introduced the idea that there was a weakness in Nebuchadnezzar. There was a weakness in the fact that he couldn't remember the dream that he had just had. So what he did was he kind of gaslit the uh the wise man, and because he was the king, that that why that gaslighting was was effective. So what he did was he he called he called them um liars and and accused them all of telling uh uh gaslighting. He basically gaslit the gaslighters, so to speak. So he said, if you don't tell me the dream, I'm gonna have everybody killed, and um, and then I'm gonna have your houses burned down again. You're you're gonna die, your family gonna die, your house is gonna be turned into poop pills. That's I said it poop pills, right? So he that's how I rate Nebuchadnezzar was so uh, of course, these wise men, these astrologists, um, were were unable to even tell Nebuchadnezzar what the dream was, and so he started having them killed. And it was because Daniel was listed among the wise men, Daniel was about to get killed too. So um Daniel said, Hey man, so why are y'all about to kill me? So he said, Well, you know, Nebuchadnezzar's mad at all the wise men because none of the wise men can tell him the dream. So Daniel said, Hey man, take me up to see Nebuchadnezzar and we'll we'll talk about it. Hey man, I'm not messing, I'm not gonna take you to the king. Are you crazy? He's already killing you. You hear all the screaming, he's already killing the wise man. Listen, I'm telling you, take me up there, and then you know, I'll I'll take it, I'll take care of it, basically. So he was able to he was able to confidently go before Nebuchadnezzar because uh Daniel had assured the king that he'd be able to reveal the dream at his meeting and what it meant. Knowing why, because he knew the power of united prayer. The Shadrach, the Meshach, the Betnikos, as you know know them, but they were Ananiah, Azariah, Mishael. He rather gathered all them together and they all started praying. God revealed unto us this dream so we could show you your glory, not for my glory, but for your glory, right? So Daniel came back and he said, Nebuchadnezzar, I will tell you the dream. And on this note, we will end it here. I know that's a great cliffhanger, right? But if you've been reading the Bible, you probably know the dream already. But we're gonna talk about that dream. We're gonna open up with that dream next week and explain how it ties into end-time prophecy. Both and and we remember we talked about uh how there are some prophecies that are continually fulfilling, and some of them are fulfilled once, and then that's it. This dream is going to go into that, and we're gonna talk about that next week. So, thank you all so much for liking and sharing, and thank you for those who are on iHeart to my YouTube channel, and those who are on the YouTube channel going to the iHeartRadio side.
