Welcome And Salvation As Growth

SPEAKER_00

Hello everybody, and welcome to today's episode of Walk With Me. I am your host, JJ. So good to have each and every one of you. I thank you all, each and everyone who has gone with us so far. We have a long way to go. And uh, and I when I mean that, I mean not in just this particular series uh that we're doing on the end times, but we have a a walk to get to a destination where being saved is not a destination. Uh, being saved is a journey to a destination, alright? And this is just about learning what the word of God says, and that's only half the battle. And and I'm not even sure why I'm talking about this uh today, possibly because of some discussions I've had over the last two or three days. Being saved, and and before we get into that, let me just do this housekeeping thing and we'll get into it. Uh, big shout out to two bars of lyricists uh that just did the intro and the outro and squeezed creations that are doing the swag and the different merch items. We I know I keep promising merch items, I know I we we kind of stopped and started, and then things happen, but there will be merch at some point. But for right now, she is part of the sponsors uh ship and her orders are her orders are just flying off the shelves. I think all the dominoes are gone. She's gonna make new dominoes, so it takes a little while. Uh, but I I do thank each and every one of you for your support of the channel, you liking, sharing, commenting, uh, sending me questions. And if you do have questions while I'm thinking about it, send them to walkwithme bible study at gmail, walk with me bible study at gmail. Uh that way I can get them and respond back to you, and we know that we have the questions answered. I don't want to leave questions unanswered. Um, if if I don't know the answer to the question, I'll just tell you I don't know. Let me study about it, let me pray about it. Maybe, maybe there's something that I need to find out. So uh, and then I will eventually either make an episode on it because maybe other people need to know, or I'll just email you back. But I do love questions. Um, and what I was saying here earlier before I got distracted here, or before I had to take care of that housekeeping things, being saved, and we're gonna go back into that too, because I I know we kind of dropped that kind of suddenly with this series, this question that we're doing over series. Being saved is not something you come in and you do, um, and it's done. It I know people think that, and we we're taught that, but the Bible sort of points to a more of a growth process. There is an initial plan of salvation, there's an initial formula for salvation, but it's it's just like planting a tree. You don't plant a tree, a seed today, and then you have a full-grown mango tree tomorrow. You have to water it, you have to weed around it, and you have to let it grow, and you gotta fertilize it, and you gotta prune it, and then you get some mangoes, and they look kind of crazy, and then you gotta take those mangoes off, and it's a process. That's why the Bible constantly refers to fruit, and that's not what we're gonna talk about today, but I just wanted to throw that out there because of some conversations I've had over the last two days, and we're gonna talk about that when we get finished, and we're almost finished with this end-time Bible study. I I know we've been on this end time Bible study since I think October. So I do thank you all for your patience. I thank you all so much for your feedback. I thank you for your feedback. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Alright, so here's um, we're gonna get started. We're gonna get started today because last week we talked about the the seven characters of uh the revelation, and we kind of talked about the dragon a little bit, and I do need to kind of shift gears before we get into the Antichrist and all that stuff. I do want to shift gears a little bit because there's a lot of speculation that is going around, and I need to handle this now, okay. This 144,000. So we're gonna talk about that today. The 144,000. Now, the Bible tells us in Revelation chapter 7, and it's please we gotta understand that Revelation has sort of two modes. You have like a chronological mode, and then you kind of have an uh a simultaneous action mode. And Revelation 7 is more of a chronological mode, right? So you're gonna see in Revelation the phrase after these things, and that's gonna let you know that this is a chronological thing. In other words, something's going to happen, and then after these things, something else is going to happen, and it won't happen before that, it has to happen in order. Now, understand too that chapter seven, it goes between chapter six and eight, and I know it sounds kind of goofy to say it, but a lot of times we like to skip around in Revelation and then we miss some very, very, very important parts. Um, you know, you got the seven seal, you got trumpets blowing and judgments increasing. But before this happens, judgment is going to be suspended for a brief period, and this tribulation is going to be held in a pause while 144,000 witnesses are going to be sealed. Now, it does help us to understand Revelation. Um, if we keep in mind how this works and how the chronological order works to help us understand the book, please understand. In my opinion, in JJ's opinion, I don't want to be here then. I want to be watching this from the bleachers, and by bleachers, I mean from the from the heaven, okay, from heaven, from from the throne room of heaven, dancing around, singing about the glory of God, and looking down, saying, Oh boy, they having a bad day. But I do not want to be down here because everybody down here is going to be having a one series of bad days. I need y'all to understand this. So, with that being said, we're gonna talk about this 144,000. Now, that rider on that white horse that we talked about, still riding. That's gonna be it means it's gonna be wars, it's gonna be famine, it's gonna be pestilence, it's still gonna be continuing. And is at this moment, though, John sees an angel come from the sun and delay the trumpet judgment until the servants of God are sealed. Now, in the church age, this is the what happens with the Holy Spirit within the church. Now, you can read this uh 2 Thessalonians 2 and 7, and it talks about that. Oh, and by the way, since I mentioned it and I forgot to mention earlier, I'm just gonna be giving you these scriptures because we have a lot to cover, but I also want you to understand that we have a rule of this podcast. That rule is a verse or two above, a verse or two below, but uh preferably the whole chapter. Now, uh 2 Thessalonians 2 and 7 says, For this lawlessness is already at work. I'm reading it from the New Living Translation because it's easier to kind of talk, talk it through. For this lawlessness is already at work secretly and will remain in secret until the one who is holding it back steps out of the way. That is the Holy Spirit and the church. That church has already been raptured when this 144,000 people come into play. So, what is this 144,000? Now, for that, you gotta read Revelation 7, 4 through 8, and it'll tell you. And Revelation 7, 4 through 8 says, And I heard they were marked with the seal of God, 144,000 that were sealed from all the tribes of Israel. Again, I am reading from the New Living Translation. I do recommend it as a starter Bible, however, King James is still gonna be my favorite, and it it goes down the list from Judah 12,000, from Reuben, 12,000, from Gad, so forth and so on. It's going to tell you clearly that these are going to be descendants of the Jewish people. Now, please understand that this uh there's also going to be a second group of multitude converted as uh out of all nations as a result of their witnessing, but this is not the raptured church, this is a separate group of people who will be converted because of these 12,000 out of each tribe. And keep in mind that God is never going to leave himself without a witness. And in Elijah's day, remember, um, Elijah was feeling like, oh my god, I'm the only prophet around. And God had to tell him, Hey man, I got 7,000 people who've never bowed. They are all my witnesses. So, that being said, um, no Bible student, nobody who reads the Bible for more than five minutes could ever question the fact that God meant exactly 7,000. Likewise, this number of Israelites are going to be sealed in the revelation will also be exactly 12,000. We have to accept it when the Bible is very specific about things, um, then we have to accept it as it being specific. Like the difference between saying a great multitude, which could be anywhere from I don't know, 10,000 to 10 million, whereas if the Bible says 12,000, then we know it's 12,000. So we have to accept that literally 12,000 people are gonna be sealed from each tribe, and they apparently have to have uh believed in Jesus Christ, and this is what's going to seal them, but they didn't get the Holy Ghost because they did were rapture. So this is gonna happen after the rapture, after all of these judgments have started. So God is gonna put a mark on them, and that mark is gonna be seen. I I like how in um in left behind the the mark was only seen from people who who actually believed. I kind of like that dramatization, but I don't think it's going to be quite that dramatic. Um, but please understand that um the experience that these 140, that 144,000 people will receive are going to be similar to how Peter and John and all the disciples before the day of Pentecost were able to believe in Jesus and not get the Holy Ghost. Undoubtedly, I would say to compare it, it would be something like John the Baptist, except there's 144,000 of them. Um so we already went through that there will, you know, there's gonna be 12,000 out of each tribe, and the 144,000 uh will appear again in chapter 14 in a heavenly scene. Now that means that there are going to be some major events that's gonna take place, and included in this preview, now the 144,000 are before the throne, so that kind of means that something is going to happen to them, and I need to be very clear on that because they were here on earth and then they were in heaven, all right, and they're gonna have um they're gonna be this there's a lot of descriptions on them, and I I want to get get through that before we talk about what happens to them. Um, they're gonna be redeemed from the earth in Revelation 14 and 3. Uh, they're gonna have that seal on their foreheads, which is going to counteract the the mark of the beast on the foreheads of other people. They're gonna um have the name of the uh the father written on their foreheads, um, and they will be men. Now, they're gonna be um there are some people who say, well, they have to be virgins, not necessarily what that verb, um, that word virgin means in that context does not mean someone who's never had intercourse before, it just means that they're they're chaste and pure after receiving the mark, or after receiving that mark on that seal on their foreheads. I'm not gonna say the mark because the mark is we always associate with the mark of the beast. So from now on, I'm just gonna say the seal on their foreheads. So they're they will be chaste and pure and totally dedicated to the will of God. Um, and they're not gonna lie, they're not gonna be sweet talking people, however God says to say it is how they're gonna say it. Um, it's gonna be kind of like Paul. Paul really had zero sugar for a lot of people, so they're gonna be basically 144,000 Pauls. Um and they're gonna be called servants, and they're going to be all Jewish. I need to point this out. Well, the 144,000 will all be Jewish, the people that they will talk to will not be Jewish. Okay, now the question arose that you know what would be the tribulation message if our message is you need to be baptized and get the Holy Ghost and baptized in Jesus' name. What if that's our message right now? What is the tribulation message? Now, what do the 144,000 preach? And and for a while I was kind of stumped on that, but when you think about dispensationalism, they would have to have a a slightly different message. Like, one, fear God. God is real, we need to respect him, we need to love him, we need to give him glory, the hour of judgment is coming, we it is already here. You got one last chance to get on, get on board, get out of here, and worship the God, worship Creator, right? So, apart from this, um, the message could be what you know, who was Jesus Christ? They'll be, you know, because a lot of Jews was are still looking for the Messiah. So some of that message could be Jesus was the Messiah. Um, and then what's going to happen is in Revelation chapter 9 through 17 tells us that there is a great tribulation revival coming, which is great, which is still great. Um, and there's it talks about how there's a great multitude of people. Now, these may be Jews, some of them may not be Jews, um, but but it says a great multitude, so we don't have that number, and that number is different from the 144,000. I have to keep mentioning that because people still think that it's only 144,000 that's going to be saved. However, you don't want to take the chance of being able to survive until that revival, if that makes sense. Um, but it's gonna take it this revival is gonna take place in a very short period of time. Like, for instance, a lot of times revivals come after years of prayer and preaching and and and all of that. Like, I want to do revivals, but you know, it's not like you just walk into a town and and you know, 30 people fall out and get the Holy Ghost, and then next thing you know, you got 500 people in church. It's not it, that's how it's gonna be in the tribulation, it's not like that now. You might get one or two people come to God and stuff like that. Now, please understand that this great multitude, which is different from the 144,000. I know I keep mentioning that, but it's very important that we stay on task here. This is gonna be made up of both Jews and Gentiles, they will have already gone through part of the tribulation, and they will have seen firsthand what it was what it would be like to uh reject God, but they will be cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, and they're going to serve God. They are in their minds, they in their hearts, they are going to want to serve God. Now, it would seem, and sometimes I I get to thinking that maybe this saved multitude will go into the millennium and serve God in his kingdom. Um, but there's no temple in New Jerusalem, and so the temple mentioned here um in Revelation 21, 22 during the millennium reign is not the same temple, and I know that sounds like a random idea that I just threw out there, but I don't think that this multitude is going to be the same multitude that will survive all the way through the revelation, and there's some other things that'll that'll that will kind of lean towards that, and we'll talk about that. Kind of I know I'm kind of rushing a little bit here. Remember, this 144,000 um is going to be accepting Jesus because they're gonna realize that he is the messiah, and what will happen with this 144,000 is that they will feel, they will understand, they will get a revelation that Jesus is the messiah because they will have put together because God will have shown them, hey, you know those people that got raptured that disappeared. It wasn't because of aliens, it wasn't because of um you know sickness or the ground and swallow them up or whatever propaganda tool that will be used. They did not just disappear, they're up here with me, and you guys got a chance not only to make it because I know your hearts, and I know that you're gonna make it through this tribulation, so I'm gonna seal you, but you also have an opportunity to bring others, and that's going to be uh the main driving of every one of these 144,000 people. Now, I can tell you from personal experience, there is the having that drive and having that um desire to kind of reach the loss, I cannot imagine, I cannot imagine the fervor, the the you know, the the drive that they're going to have. Because even now, like if you if you're called to preach, you there's something that in you that um just sort of always gnaws at you and always sort of pulls at you and always sort of pushes you, and even when you're trying to relax, it's like I I feel like I need to tell somebody about Jesus, and I gotta tell somebody about the Holy Ghost, and tell somebody that it's that they need to repent, and tell somebody that they need to uh, you know, get right with God. And hey man, listen, even when you get right with God, even before you go to heaven, life on earth becomes so much better and so much easier. All of these things that that we talk about now is gonna be magnified by this 140. Well, the conditions that the 144,000 is gonna serve in. Because all of these people are gonna have have seen half the stuff that happens, these vials, and and you know, some of these judgments that are already going on. Remember, the white horse is riding, the antichrist is running around, and and a great persecution has already started, so they are going to see these things firsthand, and they're gonna be given a choice, and it just seems like it's a wonderful thing that um God is going to give people a choice even after uh they've rejected him for so long. And it the mercy of God is just amazing, but I don't want to I don't want to get distracted on that because I could talk about that for an hour and a half. Now, um I want to talk about how this 144,000 fits into the millennia kingdom. Um well, not quite yet, because the 144,000 will talk about we'll kind of work into the restoration of Israel, because these are the people who were looking for the Messiah and then realize that you know that time is is coming gone, but they will be there will be gonna be a lot of scripture that they are going to understand that plainly teach that um Israel will be converted during the tribulation and enter into the millennium. For but like for this, uh for example, like Paul wrote, so all of Israel shall be saved. It is written, there shall come out of Sion as the deliverer, and shall turn away the ungodliness from Jacob. And that's Revelation. I'm sorry, Romans uh 11 and 26. I believe it is. Romans 11 and 26. I would say read, I would say read maybe 11 uh 24 to the end of the chapter. Because there's a lot that goes in there. And remember what I told you. If you're reading something in the Bible, and it sort of seems like the next verse, it it did sort of, but it it sort of seems like it's giving you a promise, then it's also a uh a prophecy, right? And so when you have the prophecy, you have to something you have to kind of keep track of. Like when we talked about how Jesus' bones will never be broken. Well, uh David was talking about that in songs. Like, what do you mean his bones will never be broken? Like, what do you mean? And then lo and behold, when they went to go break Jesus's bones or uh break Jesus' leg so he could die on Calvary, his he was already gone. And oh my god, I don't want to get into that because we just did I did a Bible study with somebody about that, but um it's very, very common for God to stick a prophecy in the middle of a conversation, and you'll be like, Oh, okay, and it'll just kind of go over your head a little bit, and then all of a sudden, this thing will come to pass. You're like, wait, God told me this was gonna happen. This is I believe, I believe, JJ's book of book here, no verse in scripture in it. I believe that this is how the great revival is going to happen during Revelation, because the Bible says there will be a great revival, a bigger revival than we've ever seen on earth, because this is gonna take place in a matter of weeks. Uh, this great multitude is gonna come to God, and the only thing is, I don't believe they're gonna have the Holy Ghost, they're just gonna know that they're gonna have sort of like a version of accept the Lord as your personal savior. So, that being said, um again, I mean personally, I do not want to be here when that happens. I want to be watching from the bleachers of heaven and shouting how God saved me and brought me up to glory. And that's what I want for every one of you. I want everybody here to be with me and Jesus singing around the throne while everybody's going through stuff down here. Because remember, there's only like a 25% chance of making it to the end of uh tribul of Revelation. When after the rapture happens, you only have about a 25% chance of making it to the end of the tribulation. That being said, and oh, and by the way, that 144,000 comes out of your chances if you are not Jewish. And please, please, y'all, I'm gonna say this and uh y'all just kind of forgive me for a little bit. Please don't come at me and talking about who the real Jews are. That ain't none of my business. That ain't none of your business. If you can't trace your uh lineage back to one of these 12 tribes, you you better be thinking about how to make your calling an election short. And I and I know people, oh my god, there's so much deception going on. Oh, this is I'm a tribe of Israel, and I'm a tribe of Israel, and those ain't the real Jews. And don't please, y'all, please. If you never take anything I say on this podcast, ever, ever, ever, ever in life, if you never, ever to take anything else, don't get bogged up in useless uh genealogies. The Bible tells us not to do it. Because it's just something to waste time and distract you from the truth of God. So just don't do it. Now I'm gonna say that because I love you. I I mean I love each and every one of you. Some of you I've met, some of you I haven't. But I'm just saying, just don't do it. Your focus needs to be getting your heart right, getting your sins washed away, getting the spirit of holy the Holy Ghost in you, and then starting to allow the Holy Ghost to work on you and grow you and bring you into a closer relationship with God. All right. Now and yeah, that's my sermon for today. I'm sorry I had to give you a sermon at the end of this, but I only say this because I love you, and there's so much distraction going on. It seems like every day just gets worse and worse. All right. I love each and every one of you. Uh, next week, Lord willing, we're gonna talk about the two beasts. So things are really gonna start taking a really weird turn, a wild turn. Let's not say weird, a wild turn uh next week. And this is where a lot of people are gonna uh be, and this is a foundational thing. So uh so I I love each and every one of you. See you all next week. God bless you all.

Bye bye.
